chicago

The past few weeks were a flurry- weddings, traveling, and loads of work. Now September is nearly over and I’m ready to just sit on my couch and watch Gilmore Girls reruns. Here are a few pics to recap.

Flew to Chicago with a few friends to see the play Wicked. Amazing. If you have never seen it I HIGHLY recommend it – wait – I highly recommend it even if you have seen it. I want to go back….

My newest textbook.

Started a theology class last Sunday. A bit intimidated by this mammoth. So, no gabbing at Starbucks tomorrow night – I must study – I must. Hide the remote and the pile of ironing and FOCUS!

The last straw….

It was 100 and something today, or at least felt like it. My gray taurus had the humor to die in an obscure location while on the way to a bridal shower. I won’t bore you with the details, but there was a lot of sweat involved. I am now seriously contemplating a new set of wheels. Am I an SUV girl – or will I practically consider rising gas prices? To be continued…..

advice?

invisible.

It’s funny because I don’t post often, and on the day I label “invisible,” I somehow feel the need to connect. This is probably the first time I have taken a day off of work not because of something, but just because. I’m calling it an invisible day, and I am trying to feel okay about letting the world go by without the obligation to jump in. It is a needed breath.

nice little pic from my uncle's farm. thought you'd enjoy....

from the table....
the best way to spend saturday morning.
the president should have better taste.
obviously the best thing in the kitchen
maybe it did look better than it tasted.

canvas evolution

In search of visual food for my walls, I decided to finger paint. Obviously ideas evolved – and I’m not so sure that the first wasn’t my favorite. But, none-the-less, after 8ish layers of paint, it will rest for now. You can’t see from the photo, but part of the texture on the red layer is an assortment of thoughts and quotes. If you come visit and promise not to write on the wall or use the f word, I will entrust you with my special pen. :)
